This poster was made for my apartment and inspired by my partner’s collection of visually busy, psychedelic art.

I made this poster as a break from computer-heavy work on another project. I started with a hand-drawn sketch and imported it into Illustrator to practice translating traditional drawings into digital artwork. I tried to make a more minimalist composition and focused on balancing empty space with detailed areas.

This infographic was created as a learning exercise to practice visual communication and explore the core principles of the Mediterranean diet. I designed and illustrated all the graphics used in the poster. While the content is complete, I plan to revisit the layout to add more white space and refine the color story for improved clarity and visual balance.

This project was a commissioned poster and social media post for a student’s thesis exhibition, Rhythm and Roots: an event celebrating African music and cultural education. I began by creating a vision board on Pinterest to align with the project's tone and visuals. From there, I provided multiple composition sketches, followed by three refined concepts. After feedback, I completed the final design and made requested edits. The typography and color story were chosen to reflect the atmosphere of the event.

Fish Eye Maya Rampel Adobe Illustrator Wire Frame
Fish Eye is my first project using Adobe Illustrator. I created a warped image of a fish to mimic the look of a fisheye lens. My main goal was to practice using the pen tool and gradients, which I used throughout the entire piece (along with a few clipping masks and Gaussian blurs). The image on the right is the wire-frame for the composition. The work took me two days to complete.
