Exposure

, 2024
Exposure is an unscripted short film that explores the complex terrain of grief, forgiveness, and the act of witnessing oneself in the process of healing.

EVEREST

, 2024
Everest is a collaborative short film that follows masked figures based on formative internet icons (Annoying Orange, Charlie the Unicorn) through a surreal, overstimulated landscape reflecting Gen-Z’s desensitizing digital upbringing. The characters move through a collage of early YouTube sketch comedy, 9/11 news footage, and media that blurs the line between violence and children's content. The film explores how internet content masked a created a deeper cultural numbness to violence. Audio from My Dinner with Andre anchors the work in a philosophical dialogue about art’s role as an awakener from disconnection. One speaker compares art to climbing Mount Everest, or a path to clarity and presence through exposure to the sublime. In the final scene, the masked figures exit the digital chaos into a quiet field, inviting the viewer to rediscover reality through the transformative power of art.

Holy

, 2021
Everything Is Holy is a low-resolution exploration on finding the sacred in the mundane. Shot on a flip phone, the film captures unfiltered moments of wandering, eating, and mess, while overlaid with text from Ram Dass’s Be Here Now.

Dreamscape

, 2020
The work captures the non-linear sense of narrative and continuity in dreams. Unlike typical storytelling, dreams tend to have multiple rising actions and climaxes. This work evokes a continual sense of building tension, with no satisfying release. This tension is built through pacing, quick cuts, and rhythmic repetition. The audio is hard to decipher, which adds to the feeling of disconnection and disembodiment. The occultist imagery and symbolism hint at esoteric meaning but do not concede it. The heavy breathing and running evoke a primal fear that is left un-soothed. There is no clear narrative and the focus wanders, leaving the viewer on edge and unsatisfied.
