I created this series while preparing to teach a beginner horror makeup class in the summer of 2024. Though I was only expected to cover basic scratches and bruises, I challenged myself to explore full-face designs to better understand the range of effects I could teach.

These photos document the basic scratch and wound effects I taught to middle and elementary school students in a beginner gore makeup class. The focus was on using simple shading techniques to create the illusion of depth.
